Creating the VFX Eye composite video consisted of two major parts, the practical effects and the digital effects. In the actual shoot, using a Sony a6300we managed to shoot two versions of each shot, one with myself as the monster and the other with a blank space.

Once completed and uploaded we moved onto the two stages of the digital effects, first was creating the eye composite. Using Adobe After-effects we were able to isolate, cut and reframe and re-track a new Eye on top of the original footage to create this digital effect.

Once colour graded, motion tracked and rendered we moved on to the second part of the VFX Video, blending practical effects with digital we were able to cut two of the static shots together and mirror them to match in the middle, now revealing that when the lights switch off; the cut would be spliced in and my character would be removed giving the illusion that the monster disappears once the light is turned off.
